Mohammad Aamir wants to play IPL?

The cricket world became active after former Pakistani bowler Mohammad Amir declared his intention to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). According to Amir in his recent interview he believes next year will mark his eligibility to play in the IPL and if given the opportunity he surely would accept it. I will play in the IPL."

Path to Eligibility:

The absence of Pakistani players from the IPL since its inception in 2008 results from ongoing political clash points between India and Pakistan. However, Amir's situation is unique. Narjis holds British citizenship and their application for UK citizenship is pending as he and his wife reside together in the country. The possession of a British passport would enable him to take part in the IPL through the foreign player regulations in the same way Azhar Mahmood used his British citizenship for IPL appearances between 2012 until 2015.

Admiration for Virat Kohli and RCB:

Amir has shown his deep respect for Indian batting master Virat Kohli and hopes to fulfill his dream of playing with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise. During the 2016 T20 World Cup Kohli presented him with the bat which left him amazed by his gesture. My appreciation for his batting approach has always been strong because I believe he makes great batting strokes like I do when bowling. During our time at bat I scored several noteworthy innings with his bat.

Potential Impact on RCB:

According to former Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad the presence of Amir in RCB's roster will result in a game-changing positive impact. RCB's batting strength has always been established according to him although their bowlers have consistently presented a weak point. Shehzad stated that RCB requires a bowler similar to Amir to solve their bowling difficulties. The team has strong batsmen but bowling has never been their strong point. RCB would secure the championship title if they select Amir to play for the team.

Potential Impact on RCB:

The arrival of Pakistani bowler Amir in RCB's team will bring about a transformative positive change according to Ahmed Shehzad's insight. RCB's batting department has always been solid under his assessment yet their bowling has maintained consistent issues throughout. The Former Pakistani cricketer Shehzad mentioned that RCB needs a bowling talent similar to Amir to address their current bowling issues. The batting lineup of the team remains strong while their bowling department remains weak. The championship becomes achievable for RCB after they add Amir to their roaster.

Overcoming Potential Criticism:

Amir understands there could be controversial reactions toward him when he takes part in the IPL format in Pakistan. Although Pakistani players cannot participate in IPL activities he observed that former Pakistani cricketers find their roles in the league. Amir emphasized that Pakistani cricketers received banishment from IPL participation yet numerous previous Pakistani players became match analysts and led game teams for this tournament.

Looking Ahead:

Amir remains active in playing franchise cricket while waiting for UK citizenship completion before participating in IPL games. According to current expectations the cricket world can potentially see Amir entering the IPL competition in 2026 where he might play for RCB while wearing the jersey with Virat

Kohli.
